Hi, Family, Friends, and Colleagues, Before I came to CareerRise, I worked in education. I saw firsthand how talented, motivated students and their families could still struggle to find the opportunities they deserved. They worked hard, but without clear pathways into careers, so many of them faced the risk of staying stuck, despite their potential. That’s why this work means so much to me now. CareerRise is about building those pathways. We connect job seekers to training, support, and good jobs, and we work with employers and partners to make sure those jobs lead to real opportunity. Here in Atlanta, the need couldn’t be greater. Our city ranks 50th—LAST—among major U.S. cities for economic mobility. That means children born into poverty here are more likely to remain in poverty than anywhere else in the country. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We’re raising $100,000 to change that story. Every dollar goes toward helping people in Metro Atlanta access the skills, training, and support needed to build lasting careers and brighter futures for their families. This work is personal to me.
